Yellowtail Poke
(Adjusted from a recipe from The Cooking Channel)
Poke is traditionally made with Ahi Tuna but we really like it with Yellowtail. This recipe can be easily adjusted depending on taste. Add more teriyaki for sweet, lime juice for tang, and Sriracha for spice.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Yellowtail fillet cut into 1/2 inch dice
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 3 tablespoons scallions thinly sliced
- 3 whole green onions
- 1 avocado diced
- 1 bunch cilantro chopped
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- Sriracha to taste
- Juice of half lime
- 1/4 cup of Teriyaki
Preparation
Cut all ingredients, except avocado, and set in a large bowl. Add sesame oil and sesame seeds and set aside.
Combine remaining ingredients in a separate bowl and whisk until evenly mixed.
Add avocado to dry ingredients and lightly toss to distribute evenly. Pour liquid ingredients on dry and serve with butter lettuce cups or wonton chips.
