How did you get into fishing?
Danny started fishing at two years old and by seven or eight was working aboard sport fishing boats with his friends. And the rest his history! By now, Danny has been fishing about 30 years.


How have you connected with the community?
Danny helps supply the live bait for all the sport fishing boats. He enjoys being a part of that fishing cycle, and enjoys helping out the whole sport fishing community.


What is your favorite part about your fishing?
Danny’s favorite part about fishing is simply, “the serenity.”


What are your hobbies outside of fishing?
Outside of fishing, Danny really enjoys camping with his family and friends at Refugio and Reds Meadows up in the Sierras. He also love to catch up on his sleep whenever he can!


Danny’s advice:
Danny’s advice, delivered with a little chuckle, is “don’t be a fisherman.” He says it’s very tough to be a fisherman, especially on your body.


How do you cook what you catch?
Danny’s favorite way to cook squid is to leave the a whole squid intact. He turns it inside out and gets all the guys out, then stuffs it with jalapeño peppers. What a treat!
